The Brazilians have been struggling in the knockouts against opposition from the north of the continent since winning Africa's elite club competitionMamelodi Sundowns have again found themselves drawn against a North African team in the quarter-finals of the Caf Champions League. They are currently in Algeria for a first-leg date with CR Belouizdad. Since winning the Champions League in 2016, Sundowns' campaign in this tournament has often ended in the last eight. On three occasions, they have been eliminated by North Africans, except last season when they fell to Angolan giants Petro Atletico. GOAL runs through Masandawana's battles against Arab teams in the quarter-finals from 2017.
