Workers prepare scaffolding yesterday in order to start work on reducing the height of the 87-year-old Cadbury chimney. The height of an old Cadbury chimney must be reduced to just 3m because it is an earthquake risk, Mondelez says. A Mondelez spokeswoman said the chimney height had to be reduced for ''safety reasons and earthquake-strengthening requirements''. ''For safety reasons and earthquake-strengthening requirements, the height of the chimney needs to be reduced to 3m,'' the spokeswoman said. The old chimney has not been used for many years.
