He was speaking during a recent memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing concerning the tourism development in the park. The EIA study for the cable car will be sent to the National Environment Board by July, before cabinet approval is sought for the country's first-ever cable car project inside a national park, he said. He said work on the 4km cable car project may begin this year. The cabinet in February 2012 assigned the Dasta to study the project and two EIA studies were produced at the time.
