It is not possible to read Prime Minister Narendra Modi 's moves in advance. No one can say with any degree of certainty who will get which berth or would be dropped. Yet, the reshuffle, which has been confirmed for Sunday, will have the bearing of two major factors: the coming assembly elections in several states and 2019 Lok Sabha elections as no other reshuffle is likely before the next Lok Sabha polls. Modi is likely to induct leaders from the poll-bound states of Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka or relieve the ministers who would be required to focus on elections. Modi would like strong ministers in key portfolios who could deliver some instant results before the elections.
