Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba on Monday reviewed the situation arising out of novel coronavirus outbreak in China and discussed preventive measures against the disease. It was decided at the meeting that steps "may be taken to prepare for a possible evacuation of Indian nationals in Wuhan." Besides thermal screening at the major airports, the Ministry of Civil Aviation has also taken various steps as preventive measures. The death toll from the outbreak of novel coronavirus in China rose to 81 on Monday, while the number of confirmed cases has risen to 2,744. China, on the other hand, has reported 2,744 confirmed cases with most of them reported from Wuhan.
