MUMBAI: A taxi driver has been arrested for duping an Ethiopian national of Rs 31,000 when she was alighting from his cab in south Mumbai. "After reaching the hotel gate, while the passenger was alighting, her purse fell and cash tumbled out. She had Rs 50,700 with her. The taxi driver under the pretext of helping her, took away a some notes," an officer said.When the complainant counted the money, she found it was far less than what she had brought along. Later, the taxi driver and his friend asked her to leave and pulled her out of the taxi.
