A 38-year-old private cab driver was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly cheating a Mauritius national of Rs5,800 ($90) on the pretext of exchanging dollars with Indian currency at the domestic airport. According to the police, the incident occurred on July 21 when the 35-year-old woman flew in from Mauritius and took a cab from the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport to the domestic airport. The police said, he took a $100 note from her and gave her Rs6,400 in return. She again gave him a $100 note, but in return this time he just gave her Rs640, which is worth $10. However, when she returned to Mumbai from Kochi on July 23, she approached the airport police and filed a complaint.
