SportSri Lankan weightlifter Saman Abeywickrama finished eighth in the Men's 105kg final with a combined lift of 290kgs at the Commonwealth Games 2018 today (9). He lifter 130kgs in Snatch and 160kgs in Clean and Jerk in the finals where Samoa's Sanele Mao claimed the gold medal after lifting 360kgs. India's Pradeep Singh lifted 352kgs to win the silver medal and England's Owen Boxall claimed the bronze medal with a lift of 351kgs.
