SportSri Lankan Commonwealth Games medal hopefuls will be on show from the first day of the competition (5th April) itself. The XXI Commonwealth Games will be held from April 4 for 15 at the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Australia. Of the seventeen accredited sports, Sri Lanka will take part in Aquatics, Athletics, Badminton, Boxing, Cycling, Gymnastics, Rugby 7s, Shooting, Squash, Table Tennis, Weightlifting and Wrestling. The full list of Commonwealth Games are -- Aquatics, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Bowls, Boxing, Cycling, Gymnastics, Hockey, Netball, Rugby 7s, Shooting, Squash, Table Tennis, Triathlon, Weightlifting, Wrestling. The first Commonwealth Games was held in Hamilton, New Zealand in 1930 with only Athletics, Bowls, Boxing, Rowing, Aquatics and Tennis on show.
