The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, on Monday began a Continuous Voters Registration, CVR, training for 36 members of staff drawn from 18 states, in Benin, Edo State capital. Edo State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr Johnson Sinikiem, while declaring the workshop open, noted that CVR would commence on June 28, 2021, hence the need to train the Commission’s staff for the crucial task ahead. According to him, “Voter registration is an integral part of our electioneering process hence the need for this worship. He noted that the workshop was part of the preparation toward ensuring a seamless and conducive environment for the successful take-off and conduct of the CVR exercise.
