Duncan stole one in the first after a takeout attempt for two by Homan barely nudged the shot stone in the four foot. Homan increased the lead in the fifth, protecting her shot stone on the button so well that Duncan was forced to throw her second away. Duncan tied the game in the seventh when a hit-and-stick attempt by Homan rolled too far. But in the eighth, Homan made a double to sit two with her first then after Duncan made a draw that stayed in the open, Homan made a hit for three. Duncan took one in the ninth but Homan secured the lead at the end.
