"Reverting to the old system would help lower the number of unsuccessful students by around 13 per cent. Unsuccessful students had protested in front of Darbhanga Bhavan, on the College Street campus of the university. In BA and BSc, honours students have to study one honours paper and two elective papers in Part-I. In the system introduced in the 2017-18 session, students were required to pass in the honours paper and at least one elective paper. The other elective paper could be cleared in the supplementary exam.
