CU Registrar Prof SM Monirul Hasan confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune. “She suddenly fell sick and gave her sample for Covid-19 test at Chittagong University laboratory. The test returned positive on Saturday evening,” said the Registrar, adding that the VC would be taken to Chittagong Combined Military Hospital on Sunday. On July 4, the authorities of Chittagong University put the campus under a 14-day lockdown to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the area.
