Initial investigation suggests terrorists belong to banned outfitPESHAWAR: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), on Thursday, claimed to have foiled a potential terror bid in Peshawar, arresting two suspected terrorists and confiscating explosives from their possession. The CTD officials conducted a prompt operation and arrested Sajjad Ali and Fawad when they were trying to transport the explosives, prepared in a ghee can, and a hand-grenade to Peshawar. In September this year, the CTD arrested three terrorists and confiscated six kilogrammes of explosives during a raid on Peshawar’s Ring Road near Toll Plaza. The CTD, in a handout, had said the three terrorists were also transporting an explosive device in their car when police caught them red-handed.
