CT IRONMAN back to Subic next year

MANILA, Philippines — The Century Tuna IRONMAN Philippines returns to Subic Bay, Zambales on June 7, next year, with worldwide online registration opening yesterday. “Last year, we had the hardest long course triathlon race in Asia, reflected on finish times 40 minutes to couple of hours slower than a relatively fast IRONMAN course,” said Princess Galura, general manager of Sunrise Events, which is now part of the IRONMAN group, in yesterday’s event launch. Up for grab in the race are 40 age group seats to the IRONMAN World Championship in Kona, Hawaii – the epicenter of the IRONMAN universe. The event is sponsored by Century Tuna and presented by Big Boss and produced by Sunrise Events. The event features 1.9 km ocean swim in the calm, pristine waters of Subic Bay, 180km bike into the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) and 42.2km run in a two-loop course that offers the picturesque coastal views of Subic, Zambales.
