Indian cricketer Shradul Thakur's parents were injured when their motorcycle met with an accident in the Palghar district in Mumbai, police said on Wednesday. The incident happened hours after Shardul was picked by the selectors for the one-off Test against Afghanistan. Some repair work was underway on the road where they met with the accident, he said. Shardul rushed to visit his parents and his participation in the next game in the IPL, where he represents Chennai Super Kings, is in doubt. CSK sit second in the IPL table – two points behind leaders Sunrisers Hyderabad – with seven wins in 10 matches.
