Sophomore spiker Chamberlaine Cuñada’s game-high 15 points went down the drain as the Lady Knights crashed to their first defeat following a season-opening victory over Emilio Aguinaldo College. CSB’s defense shut down rookies Julienne Castro and Dane Ohya, who were limited to seven and two points, respectively, after scoring in double digits in the previous match. Saint Benilde snagged a twin kill as its men’s team clobbered Letran, 25-21, 25-16, 25-22, behind Vince Abrot’s 15 points anchored on 12 attacks, two aces and a block. In the juniors division, Letran made quick work of CSB-La Salle Greenhills, 25-12, 25-11, 25-8, for a breakthrough victory following a losing debut. Arieh Barba and Vince Himzon paced the Squires’ balanced offense with 10 and eight points, respectively.
