(File, Standard)Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich is currently being grilled by detectives at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters over Kimwarer and Arror dams’ scandal.Officers at DCI have confirmed that Rotich arrived there shortly after 7am and is expected to record a statement. This is the second time the CS is appearing before the DCI officers to shed light on Sh21 billion payment for the two dam projects in Elgeyo Marakwet County that are yet to commence since 2017. Rotich is at the centre of investigations because he is accused of authorising payment of billions of shillings before construction of the two dams started. A team of detectives on Monday flew to South Africa to establish if the dam allegedly used to kick-start the Arror and Kimwarer dam projects existed.
