Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba has received the trophy won by Team Kenya senior golf team during the Annual Africa Region IV Golf tournament played in Ethiopia last month. On Tuesday morning, Team Kenya captain Dennis Maara, accompanied by fellow players Mike Karanga, John Lejirma and junior golfer Elvis Muigua, presented the trophy to the CS in a brief ceremony held at a hotel in Nairobi. In the four-day annual tournament, Team Kenya rolled in two under par 210 to fed-off rivals Uganda, who managed 217 for a total of (+34) 886. Karanga won the individual title after firing four under 68 in the final round for a total of (-4) 280. Lejirma finished second with (+1) 285 in 78, 67, 70 and 70 in the four-round.
