Youth and Sports CS Ababu Namwamba had a hard time addressing Kenyans who had gathered to honour comedian and singer Fred Omondi who died following a road accident. Ababu in response to the booing and anti-Ruto chants said he respects the energy from the crowd. “We recognize that energy, we appreciate it but we shall pay respects to Fredrick (Fred) Omondi tonight. The booing is great content… I have enjoyed this.”The show, dedicated to raising funds and celebrating the life of Fred Omondi was held at the Carnivore Simba saloon. After the event, the CS took to social media to say that he was pleased to face Kenyans opposed to the Finance Bill, 2024.
