The account suspensions came thanks to a new CRA cybsersecurity monitoring service that cross-references stolen login data from third parties put up for sale on the dark web — a hidden part of the Internet only accessible through tailored software — with internal login data for its web platform, MyCRA. In the statement, the agency repeats that the login information was not stolen from its databases, and that information they hold remains safely guarded from malevolent actors.
