COVID leads to business closures

Photo credit should read: Ben Birchall/PA WireSeveral businesses in South Kerry have been forced to close their doors for short periods in recent weeks following confirmation of a positive COVID case among staff and or customers. As COVID cases continue to rise, particularly in Killarney and south Kerry, the effects of the virus can be seen as more people receive a positive test and are unable to attend work, putting businesses, many of whom are already short-staffed, under increased pressure. Hospitality businesses have been particularly affected but so, too, has childcare. For the safety of customers and staff, affected businesses have closed their doors until necessary testing is carried out and it is safe to return to work.
