COVID-19 outbreak declared at Kitchener high school

A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at Kitchener-Waterloo Collegiate and Vocational School. A staff member has tested positive for COVID-19, according to an announcement posted to the high school's website. A student at the school tested positive for the virus earlier this week. "The [Waterloo Region District School Board] is working with Region of Waterloo Public Health to prevent further spread of COVID-19 in students, staff and the community," the school said in a statement. The Waterloo Catholic District School Board has reported two cases in two separate schools.
