On Monday, Public Health reported 156 new COVID-19 cases over the weekend. There were 52 new cases on Dec. 24, five cases on Dec. 25, and 99 cases on Dec. 26. However, Public Health announced on Monday that public exposure and flight exposure notifications will be paused due to widespread community transmission. Elsewhere in Atlantic CanadaNew Brunswick announced 639 new COVID-19 cases and four deaths over the holiday weekend. Islanders can book an appointment to receive the vaccine at a pharmacy or a public health clinic.
