September 17, 2020 by Charindra No CommentsThe Cabinet of Ministers yesterday (16) approved the exemption from cess on the importation, supply or donation of medicines, chemicals, sanitary equipment, machinery etc. required for the prevention of Covid-19. The Cabinet approved the gazette notification by the Minister of Trade which has now been sent for parliamentary approval. The exemption has come following requests by the Ministry of Health, the Armed Forces and the COVID Center.
