COVID-19 in Sask: 289 new cases, 205 recoveries, one death


After a delay for processing reassigned and unassigned cases, Saskatchewan reported 289 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, and one more death due to illness linked to the novel coronavirus. Of the 38,160 known COVID-19 cases to date in the province, 2,742 are considered active. The seven-day average of daily new cases in Saskatchewan is 261 — 21.3 new cases per 100,000 population. Upcoming vaccine shipment reduced11,063 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered in the province on Saturday. Drive-thru and walk-in COVID-19 vaccination clinics are now open to people aged 48-54.
