Tunisia received Monday 18 tons of the medical supply offered by the United Arab Emirates, UAE, to help the North African country in its fight against the covid-19 pandemic. An aircraft loaded with protective gears for covid-19 and two artificial respirators landed in capital Tunis international airport Monday morning. A military source told local media that another aircraft was expected to arrive in the evening on the same day. Tunisia is reeling with a surge in the number of coronavirus contaminations. The epidemiological situation is stable, but not reassuring, as a daily average of 1,500 new infection cases and between 20 to 30 fatalities are registered, Health Minister Faouzi Mehdi said this Tuesday.
