The opposition had earlier this week vowed to carry on with the protests despite police warning that the protests are illegal. The coalition had threatened to increase the number of its weekly protests against the IEBC if the government does not heed dialogue calls. The opposition wants the IEBC commissioners to be removed from office before the 2017 general elections citing lack of trust. CORD has called off the anti- IEBC demos scheduled for Monday. However, a way forward on Thursday protests will be given on Wednesday.
