CNN primetime ratings plummeted 61% in March: Nielsen data

Primetime ratings for CNN have fallen 61% this month — the steepest dip in viewership among the big three cable news giants, according to the latest figures released by Nielsen. But that show’s audience jumps to 438,000 total viewers when factoring in the simulcast on CNN sister station HLN. The network’s total day viewers fell by 27% in the last quarter. While MSNBC has beaten CNN in the number of total viewers, CNN leads its rival in the 25-54 demo. In total viewership, Hayes’ “All In” and Reid’s “ReidOut” have regularly dominated CNN’s Cooper and Burnett, respectively.
