Christine Romans, a veteran financial journalist who had been with CNN for more than two decades, has joined NBC News. In her new role, Romans will be charged with “reporting across all platforms of NBC News, including writing for digital and on MSNBC,” according to a memo issued Monday by Catherine Kim, senior vice president editorial for NBC News. Romans had been co-anchor of “Early Start,” the CNN early-morning program since January of 2014, but also covered a bevy of significant business-news developments during her time at the Warner Bros. Romans started her career as a print journalist, reporting for The Des Moines Register, Knight-Ridder Financial News and Reuters. She is a graduate of Iowa State University and currently resides in New Jersey with her husband and three sons.
