Netflix became a much-needed source of licensing revenue for TV networks and studios when DVD sales started disappearing a decade ago. That annual ads sales smorgasbord will unfold over the next few months, during which networks will trot out shows for the coming season and try to convince advertisers to keep spending billions on TV ads. BLINDBART: As more advertisers yank their ads from YouTube (at least for now), they probably are confident Google will honor their requests. But when it comes to trying to block ads from a site that works with numerous ad tech providers to handle its advertising operations—and those ad tech providers are plugged into other ad tech companies—it’s far from simple.
