CMO Today: ESPN Layoffs Hit On-Air Talent


For years, mobile ads were just lousy (as was the early mobile web surfing experience). The fact that Google and Facebook have leaned in so hard on mobile ads didn’t hurt. But the Interactive Advertising Bureau says that media companies across the board are enjoying mobile ad growth. Constellation Brands recently tried to figure out whether people who saw digital ads for the company’s Black Box wine actually made a purchase. The more success such traditional marketers have in using digital ads in a more strategic fashion, theoretically the more they’ll spend on digital advertising.
