more-inChief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday approved the setting up of seven decentralised sewage treatment plants (STPs) in north Delhi’s Burari. 25 coloniesAccording to the government, these seven decentralised STPs will cover sewer lines for 25 colonies of the area. An official said after these decentralised STPs are set up, Burari will become the first Assembly constituency where all unauthorised colonies will have sewer lines. The government said these decentralised STPs will not only solve the crisis faced due to sewage but also produce huge amount of recycled water. Special focusThe government has planned decentralised STPs in all Delhi colonies and institutions with a special focus on unauthorised areas, said an official.
