BBMP officials claimed that the Forest Department did not allow them to take up desilting ahead of the monsoon. With several roads across the city riddled with potholes, the BBMP officials were directed to fill them at the earliest. Madiwala Lake, which is under the Forest Department, overflowed and flooded several houses in Kodichikkanahalli. On hearing this, the Chief Minister pulled up officials of the Forest Department and asked them to cooperate with the BBMP. Manjunath Reddy and others were present.
