In his message on International Day of Democracy, the chief minister said that democracy ensured equal participation of the people and its continuity was imperative for the socio-economic growth of the society. “India, the so-called claimer of democracy, is actually the biggest violator of democratic norms and values,” he stated. “The International Day of Democracy wants from us to work for the promotion of democratic traditions and values,” concluded the CM. On the directions of Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, a local holiday has been declared on September 15.
