MUMBAI: CLP India, one of the largest foreign investors in India’s power sector, is in talks to acquire Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners-owned wind energy platform Continuum Wind Energy, two people aware of the development said. The company, which manages over $4 billion globally, had invested $212 million in Singapore-based Continuum Wind in 2012. “CLP India has been engaged in talks with Morgan Stanley and is looking to acquire the Continuum platform. In 2015, SunEdison Inc., then the world’s largest renewable energy company, entered into an agreement to acquire Continuum Wind. Greenko Group, one of India’s largest renewable energy platforms, has acquired Orange Renewable from Singapore’s AT Capital Group at an enterprise value of under $1 billion and another 385MW of renewable assets from Skeiron Renewable Energy.
