CISF to conduct passenger feedback survey at airports

NEW DELHI: Central Industrial Security Force CISF ), which handles security at 59 airports across the country, will be conducting a passenger feedback survey through October to assess the performance of its personnel and the quality of service being rendered by them. The survey, which will cover eight major airports at Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kochi and Guwahati, will be carried out between October 1 and October 31. Passengers would be provided a small questionnaire and asked to rate CISF's performance on four parameters — feeling of being safe and secure; waiting time at security inspection; thoroughness of security inspection and courtesy and attitude to help; and response to the initiative of doing away with baggage tag stamping at airports.A committee has been formed at all the eight airports to evaluate results of the survey. The survey reports will be scrutinised by the airport sector headquarters for further action.A CISF release on Friday said the feedback samples collected will help identify the strengths and weaknesses in service deliverance and in grading CISF services as a whole. "Suggestions/observations by passengers will be analysed and worked upon to improve our services. It will also identify problems faced by travellers and possible solutions.."CISF had last done a similar survey in 2013 at all 59 airports under its cover, and notched up a rating of 4.49 out of 5 points on four parameters.
