Mr. Gupta said many IT leaders are swapping insights via group emails, surveys, videoconferencing and document-sharing tools. He said a majority of public-sector CIOs—from federal agencies to city halls—are sharing best practices and lessons learned from ongoing IT continuity efforts in public safety, health care, transportation, utility services and other functions. The state’s CIOs are now meeting online roughly once a week, up from face-to-face meetings every fiscal quarter before the crisis, he said.
