The husband of Centre for Health Protection's Chuang Shuk-kwan is fighting for his life against a brain tumor in the intensive care unit, source said. Christian friends of the couple recently called for prayers for her husband, as they said his condition took a turn for the worst in the past week, when he was in coma and connected to breathing aids. But his condition improved and has regained consciousness last night. Chuang's husband, a dentist, has been staying at the Prince of Wales Hospital since early this year, around the same time when Covid-19 spread to Hong Kong. In the mean time, head of communicable disease branch Chuang, who hosts the government's almost-daily Covid-19 press briefings rushed, between her office and the hospital to care for her husband.
