Share TweetBy Merlina Hernando-MalipotThe Commission on Higher Education (CHED) lauded the awarding of an ISO 9001:2015 certification to its Maritime Education Section (MES). “This latest ISO certification is a testament to CHED’s continued commitment to quality assurance and compliance to national and international standards, particularly in the area of Maritime Education,” said CHED Chairman J. Prospero E. De Vera III. The CHED- MES has been awarded the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 by the independent third-party certification body Anglo-Japanese American (AJA) Registrars. De Vera said that the MES previously earned certification under ISO 9001:2008 in December 2015 and has been audited and registered annually by AJA Registrars.
