Tanzania Football Federation boss Wallace Karia has said that the 2024 CHAN tournament will be staged jointly by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania and not one country as previously statedThe 2024 Africa Nations Championships (CHAN) will be played in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Zanzibar not the former alone as previously stated. This was revealed by Tanzania Football Federation president Wallace Karia who said just like the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations which Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania will co-host, next year’s tournament will also be held jointly. “Next year in September, we have been given the CHAN hosting rights in Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda, meaning in our zone, there will be only one team remaining,” said Karia. Kenya's previous experience in hosting football events had been a mixed one. While the nation was initially awarded the hosting rights for the 2018 CHAN, unpreparedness ultimately led to them losing the opportunity.
