Sean Stenger had watched his football career sail through the end zone as he settled into employment with P Machibroda Engineering. While the former University of Saskatchewan Huskies kicker hadn’t totally given up on his pro football dream, it wasn’t much on his mind. After working out for head coach Craig Dickenson a couple of weeks ago, Stenger got a call to join the Riders at training camp. “I wasn’t actively pursuing it,” admits Stenger, a former Saskatoon Centennial Charger who spent five years with the Huskies. (Riders GM) Jeremy (O’Day) and I have known of Sean for a while now and he’s local.
