In October 2013, he bought Metro FC and renamed it Karela FC, and five years later, they made it to the elite division of the local league. Aside from the club, Mr. Brigidi was the owner of Karela Oil & Gas Nigeria, Karela Hotels & Resort Ghana, Kareela Oil & Gas Ghana, Re-Routine Air Limited, Adef Energy Services, Shores & Savannah (Law Partners) and South Field Petroleum. Fellow Premier League club, Inter Allies, shared their sympathies with Karela on the passing of Brigidi via its Twitter handle.
