Nurul Huda said this when asked about other political parties not participating in the DNCC mayoral polls in a press briefing at Election Commission Secretariat on Tuesday. Whether the commission has any role to play to make the election participatory, the CEC said: "It is the decision of political parties whether they will take part in the election or not. To make a fair election the commission has taken all the necessary preparations and deployed enough members of law enforcement agencies. "I evoke all voters to cast their votes at the voting centres without any fear," he said. Action will be taken against any presiding officer if any allegation of bias is raised against them, he added.
