THE Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) now accepts applications to the Virgin Labfest (VLF) 16 Writing Fellowship Program, to be held from June 16 to 28, 2020. A project of the CCP Artist Training Division of the Arts Education Department, the two week mentorship program will deal with the study and practice of dramatic writing for the stage. They will also get to watch this year’s ‘virgin’ plays and selected rehearsals, as well as participate in talkback sessions and interact with playwrights, directors and selected actors. The Virgin Labfest is an annual festival of unpublished, unstaged, untried and untested works of playwrights, directors and actors. It has gained renown for producing provocative and outstanding plays, many of which won at the Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature.
