The Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) has suggested schools to conduct offline examinations for Class 9 and 11 by strictly following COVID19 safety protocols and to start the new academic session 2021-22 from April 1, 2021. It would be appropriate to start the academic session 2021-2022 from April 1 to the extent feasible subject to the instructions of state governments," the letter also stated. Schools are requested to follow the suggestions to make the next session more streamlined and ensure that learning gaps, if any, are addressed, he added. As a result, a number of schools have been seeking advice from CBSE regarding examinations for classes 9 and 11 and about the commencement of the new academic session," Bhardwaj said. The CBSE had earlier this month announced the schedule for board exams for classes 10 and 12.
