The Rajasthan ATS had estimated that around 4.29 lakh arms licences had been issued over the past decade from various districts of militancy-hit Jammu and Kashmir. The locations raided were in Srinagar, Jammu, Gurgaon and Noida, the CBI spokesperson said. The case had been handed over to the CBI on the basis of a recommendation from Rajasthan director-general of police O.P. Galhotra after the northwestern state’s anti-terror squad claimed to have busted a racket related to the matter.
