NEW DELHI: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) examined Rajiv Kochhar , brother-in-law of ICICI Bank CEO Chanda Kochhar , for a fifth day on Monday as part of its preliminary enquiry into allegations of nepotism and corruption in a Rs 3,250-crore loan extended by ICICI Bank to Venugopal Dhoot-founded Videocon group in 2012. Punglia too is being examined in connection with the ICICI Bank-Videocon loan case. Punglia was examined for the first time on Saturday in connection with the CBI preliminary enquiry related to the ICICIVideocon loan case. It is also examining whether Avista benefited from Rajiv Kochhar’s relation with ICICI Bank boss. Sources indicated that Deepak Kochhar and Dhoot may be called for questioning as well.
