CBI arrests two on charge of forging Modi’s signature


The accused have been identified as Swaraj Kumar Roy and Suvendu Kumar Burman. The CBI also conducted searches at Bokaro Steel City and Bishnupur in West Bengal in connection with the case. The PMO, which found out that no such invitation was given to Roy, referred the matter to the CBI. The CBI said Roy is from Bokaro in Jharkhand. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested two persons for allegedly forging the signature of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on a letter claiming that one of them was invited to organise a classical music programme as part of the Independence Day celebrations here.
