TORONTO — In forming its next season, the CBC says one of its goals was finding programming that would appeal to advertisers and sponsors. And the survey said: “Family Feud Canada” and “Battle of the Blades.”The public broadcaster’s 2019/2020 lineup unveiled Wednesday includes a Canadian version of “Family Feud” hosted by actor and comedian Gerry Dee, and a revival of “Battle of the Blades” with skating superstars Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir as guest judges. “It’s something I grew up watching as a little kid, starting with Richard Dawson and all the way through,” said Dee, co-creator and star of the former CBC comedy “Mr. The new CBC slate also includes “Fortunate Son,” a spy drama that’s set in 1968 and inspired by a true story. It sees a CIA agent spying on an American activist family who smuggles Vietnam war deserters and draft dodgers across the border.
